چکیده

The aim of this study was to determine the effects oxytocin and carazolol administration on uterine blood flow by pulsed-wave Doppler ultrasonography (USG) evaluate influences these drugs involution. Thirty primiparous suckling Kiwircik ewes were divided into 3 groups: carazolol, oxytocin, control. underwent transcutaneous B-mode USG in 1st week after birth, examinations continued via transrectal until 28th day postpartum (pp). pulsatility index (PI), resistance (RI), systolic/diastolic (S/D) velocity ratio recorded for artery USG. At end 21st pp, gravid horn diameter reduction best achieved carazolol-administered group. PI values found be statistically significant (P˂0.001) days 14, 21 pp.
mean RI higher (P˂0.01) oxytocin-administered highest value detected 14th group had (P˂0.05) S/D when compared other groups. In conclusion, most effective drug used accelerate involution carazolol. appeared have a contraction effect arteries. To author’s knowledge, hemodynamics not been reported literature. Therefore, it will first report field.
